Development Assistant

Collaborating with an extensive number of funders, volunteers, and supporters, Catholic Community Services of Lane County (CCSLC) is a 70 year old 501(c)(3) social services agency dispensing the largest volume of no-cost basic assistance- food, utilities, clothing- to individuals and families living in poverty throughout Lane County. We foster a “whatever it takes” approach with the case management and housing navigation services we provide to our unhoused neighbors. As well, our Refugee & Immigrant Services Program (RISP) is rapidly growing and is the only Lane County team offering a coordinated effort of legal assistance, wrap around supportive services and employment connections to refugees and immigrants who arrive in our community. POSITION TITLE: Development Assistant

SUMMARY:

The Development Assistant is a key Agency team member supporting all areas of our year-round, ongoing fundraising efforts including, but not limited to, special events, appeal campaigns, donor cultivation and retention, foundation and corporation grant search and volunteer engagement and management. The Assistant’s primary areas of responsibility are to oversee and maintain an accurate Donor Dock database, process/track donor gifts and acknowledgments, coordinate in-kind drives and track in-kind donation values, oversee the intake and record keeping of volunteers, and assist with all events. This is not a remote, work-from-home position.

REPORTS TO: Manager, Development and Communications

WORK LOCATION: Springfield, OR-1025 G St.

FLSA STATUS/ /HOURS: Non-Exempt,Full-Time, 40 hrs./wk. M-F, some afterhours or weekends (special events)

COMPENSATION: $19.00/hour plus benefits

MUST HAVES:

  • 2-3 years work experience in nonprofit fundraising/development, event planning, and/or donor cultivation and retention
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or 3-years equivalent experience
  • High level of computer skills including Donor Database platforms and Microsoft Office
  • Experience in Communication efforts, Marketing preferred
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to prioritize assignments and projects, resolve problems, follow through, maintain organized systems and processes, meet deadlines and ensure goals are completed in a timely manner
  • Valid ODL, reliable vehicle, and automobile insurance
