Our dynamic Product Team is seeking a seasonal Product Inspector to join us for the next six months to ensure the highest quality standards for our products! In this role, you will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections of product replacements, returns, and inventory and maintaining an organized and efficient inspection area. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, has a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Experience in quality control or the fashion industry is a plus. 

Responsibilities:  

Quality Control and Inspections:

  • Conduct inspections for product replacements, returns, and ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Support in full inventory inspections to identify production issues and collaborate with factories on resolutions.
  • BTS inspections: analyzing, cleaning and repackaging product.
  • Keep inspection area clean (floors, tables, and racks)

Operations: 

  • Assist in unpacking, organizing, steaming, tagging, and labeling all new samples for Line Review for all collections.
  • Inspect, clean, and repair all gowns when they are received back from shoots (with help from inspection department) 
  • Steam and help get gowns ready for various appointments upon request
  • Assist with minor alterations /fixes during line review and throughout the season where needed.
  • Work closely with customer service department and Product Op Manager on outsourced fixes (dress’ sent to local seamstress) to make sure they are returned in a timely manner and are on schedule.
  • Support the Technical Design team with fittings of first fit samples including unpacking of gowns and bagging for the upcoming market 
  • Work with the Customer service, Technical Design and the Product Op team to identify areas where improvements can be made or bring awareness of potential production Issues.
  • Work with the Inspections Lead to provide a monthly report and time metric on damages 
  • Perform product inspections as needed by the Operations Department 

Qualifications:  

  • 2 years' experience in quality control or product inspection is preferred. Experience in the bridal or fashion industry is a plus. 
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure all products meet quality standards. 
  • Basic knowledge of garment construction and the ability to perform minor alterations and repairs. 
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move heavy gowns, and perform repetitive tasks. Must be comfortable lifting 30 pounds. 
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and maintain a clean and orderly inspection area. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively with various departments
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to report on quality issues and work with external partners like local seamstresses. 
  • Flexibility to assist with various tasks such as unpacking, steaming, tagging, and preparing gowns for Line Review 
  • Ability to identify production issues and suggest improvements to prevent future problems. 
  • Strong time management skills to meet deadlines and ensure timely return of outsourced fixes. 
  • Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic. 
  • Familiarity with basic computer operations for reporting and tracking purposes.
