LICENSED CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST

SUMMARY

A licensed clinical psychologist provides on-site comprehensive autism diagnostic evaluations in accordance with all professional best practices and guidelines for the Illinois and Missouri TAC Clinics.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Conduct comprehensive autism diagnostic evaluations that include administration of the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule – 2nd Edition, clinical interview with caregivers, and assessment of cognitive and adaptive functioning
  • Write diagnostic reports and reviews findings and recommendations with families
  • Practices in accordance with APA ethical standards.
  • Adheres to The Autism Clinic at Hope’s policies and procedures, as well as acts in accordance with the organization’s mission and vision
  • Work closely and collaboratively with the intake, billing, and clinical teams to review documents and maintain electronic medical records and other files
  • Orders any testing materials or other resources, as needed
  • Work in an indoor clinic setting at designated IL or MO locations with some monthly travel required
  • Possible supervision of post-doctoral fellow(s)
  • Maintain client confidentiality and abides by all HIPAA regulations

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • Ph.D. or Psy.D. from an APA-accredited Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology program
  • Licensed Clinical Psychologist (Health Service Provider) in the states of IL and MO (or willing/able to obtain)
  • Eligible for enrollment with insurance companies and Medicaid

WHAT WE PREFER

  • At least 3 years prior experience working with children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Developmental Disabilities
  • Expertise in the administration and interpretation of psychological evaluations, including the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule – 2nd Edition

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to lift and carry children and/or adaptive equipment
  • Must be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures for extended periods of time
  • Examples: Kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, and standing
  • Must be able to sit on the floor for an extended period of time
  • Must be willing and able to make quick body movements
  • Must be able to understand and execute detailed communication about clients
  • Must maintain a professional appearance aligned with the organization’s dress code, but also with hygiene and grooming
  • Must be physically present at clinic site, unless using PTO, benefit time, or with approval from supervisor
