We are recruiting an experienced RN Unit Manager (Unit Manager) to oversee all aspects of operating a unit within our LTC facility. The Unit Manager is a member of the nurse management team. Assures regulatory compliance in the Unit—reports to the Director of Nursing. This position shares responsibility for adequate coverage, including rotational weekends, as needed.
The Unit Manager will supervise nursing staff to monitor patient care. Must have clinical and management experience in a Long-term Care setting. Additional duties include:
· Oversee all areas of the assigned Unit.
· Participate in Department Meetings, Quality Improvements, Policy, and Procedure Development
· Assist with treatment and medication administration.
· Participate in family meetings and discharge planning process.
· Serve as liaison between family, patient, doctor, and other departments.
· Investigate all incident reports and follow up accordingly.
· Participate in managing staff and assignments to ensure the quality of care.
· Participate and report on patient conditions in weekly risk meetings.
· Handle annual evaluations of staff.
Requirements for Unit Manager
· Valid R.N. license for NYS
· Experience in Long Term Care (Preferred)
· Two years of supervisory management experience in an LTC setting
· PRI Assessor (Preferred)
· MDS knowledgeable (Preferred)
· I.V. Certifications
· Basic Life Support Certification

$750 after one month, $750 after three months, $1,000 after six months, $1,000 after nine months, $1,500 after one year).
