Wedgewood Rehab and The Brook at High Falls, located in the village of Spencerport and Downtown Rochester, are seeking an energetic and creative Director of Activities. As the Director of Activities, you will be involved and instrumental in structuring, planning and implementing the varied activities planned to meet the needs of the residents residing within the facility.

Requirements:

• Recreation experience in a related field such as, senior living, skilled nursing, assisted living
• Able to plan and structure recreation activities for the residents of Wedgewood and The Brook
• Develop activities calendars each month
• Plan seasonal activities
• Outgoing, warm and caring personality
• Good organization, communication and interpersonal skills
• Background in one or more area of social activities such as crafts, music, dance, etc., a plus
• Willing to cooperate with the community to keep the residents and facility involved in the Village
• Willing and able to manage employees within the department
• Able to participate in interdisciplinary Care Plan meetings
• Associates in Recreation Therapy, Physical Education, Music Therapy, Art Therapy, or a similar field is required, Bachelor's preferred
• Able to work weekends, evenings, and holidays if needed
• At least one year of experience working in a skilled nursing facility required
• At least one year of supervisory experience preferred
