SUMMARY: The primary purpose of your job position is to obtain required information and admit residents in an efficient manner, in accordance with established policies and procedures, and as directed by the Administrator.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintains bed management and assists with accurate daily census report.
• Directs sales activities to all current and potential referral sources.
• Develops and executes tactics to maximize admissions of residents requiring a sub-acute level of care including regular contact via telephone or on-site, as applicable, with potential referral sources including hospitals, physicians, insurers, case management companies and health care agencies.
• Spends a sufficient amount (set by Administrator) of time in hospitals and other referral sources weekly.
• Develops and maintains good working relationships with all external referral sources to include hospital discharge planners, home health companies, Assisted Living facilities, local community organizations, etc.
• Meets or exceeds facility’s budgeted census targets.
• Serves as a key member of the facility interdisciplinary team.
• Assures that the Company’s highest quality of customer service standards is provided to all customers.
• Ensures admission screening of referrals.
• Ensures company processes are followed to ensure a timely clinical and financial approval process.
• Ensures consistent and effective process for coordination of admissions with appropriate departments and staff to include verifying insurance/payer, scheduling first care plan meeting, scanning admission documentation into EMR, checks for existing PASSAR, completes PASSAR requests if needed, obtains approval from managed care company prior to admission.
• Knowledgeable of company admission process and completes admission packet in accordance with company policy.
• Assures admission checklist is followed and completed for each new admission. Contact local community agencies to generate a positive image and encourage word-of-mouth referral activities in coordination with interdisciplinary marketing team.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of current regulations governing Medicare / Managed Care/ Medicaid and private insurance company reimbursement processes.
• Completes new admission paperwork with resident or responsible party.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of two (2) years experience in health care sales/marketing/insurance with a basic understanding of sales and marketing processes preferred.
• One (1) to two (2) years of management experience preferred.
• Must be able to travel on occasion.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Power Point) and all hospital electronic referral software.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
