Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Wastewater Operator to join our team. As a Wastewater Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining wastewater treatment equipment to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. This is a vital role in maintaining the health and safety of our community and environment.
What you get to do:
· Check various operational parameters in the plant;
· Sampling at various plant locations;
· Follow all safety practices and safe job procedures;
· Reading and recording data;
· Pumping sludge;
· Cleaning and painting of tanks, buildings, pipes, etc;
· Monitor gauges and plant equipment;
· Perform basic laboratory analysis;
· Maintain operator logs and data sheets;
· Perform minor maintenance tasks.
Experience and Requirements:
· Indiana Wastewater Operator Certification, preferred.
· Valid driver’s license
· Graduation from high school or GED equivalent,
· On-call availability required
Environmental Conditions
· Works outside in all weather conditions
· Exposed to odors, wastewaters, sludges, and chemicals
· Work in confined spaces
· Climbing stairs
Preference will be given to candidates interested and willing to receive Indiana Wastewater Certifications.
Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday – 4 PM – 12 AM

Physical Demand:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to perform moderate to heavy lifting; standing and walking for prolonged periods of time; climb, reach, balance, bend, squat, crawl, stand.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to noise, dust, grease, smoke, fumes, gases, solvents, toxic materials, hazardous chemicals and all types of weather and temperature conditions.
Starting Pay: $26.00 – starting pay will be determined based on relevant experience and certifications
