About us

Alpine Academy is a tuition-free public charter school serving students in Grades 9 through 12. We are located in Sparks, NV (near Reno and Lake Tahoe). Our emphasis is on career and college readiness. Our enrollment is less than 250 students, which enables our staff to be supportive and caring with small class sizes and supportive administration.

Overview:

Alpine Academy is growing!

We are seeking passionate High School Teachers to join our team and inspire students in their educational journey. Ideal candidates will have strong backgrounds in teaching Math, Social Studies, or Computer Science. We have multiple teaching positions available.

Duties:

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the educational needs of students
  • Provide instruction in subject areas such as Math, Social Studies, or Computer Science
  • Offer tutoring, support, and differentiation to students who require additional assistance
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
  • Utilize different teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the overall educational experience

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field; Master's degree is a plus
  • Teaching certification or license in the relevant subject area
  • Experience in teaching Math, Social Studies, or Computer Science is preferred
  • Strong ability to calculate, proofread, and edit copy effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with students of varying abilities and backgrounds

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $47,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
