Innovative Driven is currently seeking a Paralegal to join the team at a growing, busy law firm based in Southfield, Michigan! This role is focused in Bankruptcy and Collections. The role is a fully onsite role, 40 hours a week.
Duties to include but not limited to:
- Foreclosure - manage all steps beginning from referral to post-closing
- Communicate with internal & external stakeholders
- Prepare bankruptcy filings
- Review title reports & prepare title claims
- Electronic filings - pleadings, motions, & briefs
- Manage discovery process - document collection, review, & document production
- Keep up to date files; maintain deadlines
- Conduct legal research
Administrative Duties:
- Extensive knowledge of Client Ledger Systems (CLS), True-Filing/MI File.
- Maintain organized electronic and physical legal files, ensuring efficient information retrieval, as well as photocopying, scanning & filing documents for the firm.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 7 years of Legal Assistant and/or Paralegal, preferably bankruptcy & debt collection focused.
- Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certification
- Ability to learn and work in multiple court web-based systems, specifically TrueFiling/Mifile.
