JOB SUMMARY:

As a Regional Sales Manager at USA Industries, you will hold a pivotal role as the primary driver of sales growth and revenue generation. Your core responsibility involves leading and managing the outside sales team to effectively execute our company's sales strategies and exceed targets. In this fast-paced and competitive market environment, the Sales Manager leverages their expertise in sales practices, data analysis, market trends, and customer relationship management to consistently deliver exceptional results.

This position requires proactive engagement through motivation and coaching with the sales team, clients, and stakeholders to ensure seamless sales processes and maximize outcomes. The Regional Sales Manager serves as a catalyst for driving strategic decisions and fostering strong partnerships to enhance customer satisfaction and maintain our competitive edge.

Reporting directly to the Director of Sales, Marketing, & Products, you will regularly update upper management on sales activities, process enhancements, industry insights, customer feedback, and sales forecasts. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving our company's sales success and maintaining our competitive edge in the market. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Strategize and execute plans to surpass monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals through innovative strategies and initiatives tailored to market dynamics.
  • Cultivate an in-depth understanding of the company’s product lines, manufacturing capabilities, and value propositions. Promote these effectively to clients and prospects to drive sales growth.
  • Collaborate on the formulation of strategies to expand market share and identify new sales channels, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives.
  • Lead the training and ongoing development of Territory Business Development Managers (TBDMs), providing consistent coaching and mentorship to drive performance.
  • Drive the Outside Sales Department to secure new clients while maximizing cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts, fostering long-term relationships and revenue growth.
  • Forge close partnerships with the Marketing Manager to synchronize resources and strategies, ensuring a unified approach to customer engagement and market penetration.
  • Interface regularly with department managers across sales and operations to foster collaboration, streamline processes, and optimize overall business performance.
  • Establish clear, objective standards for revenue generation, profitability, and productivity for Territory Business Development Managers (TBDMs), fostering accountability and a culture of high performance.
  • Facilitate regular sales team meetings to monitor progress, discuss challenges, and align efforts with overarching sales goals and objectives.
  • Be available during off-hours to provide support to the team and company as needed to ensure responsive assistance.
  • Organize team-building exercises and coordinate cross-departmental activities to foster a cohesive and motivated sales team.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Sales, Marketing, & Products to explore and implement additional sales channels, such as distribution or branch expansion, to drive business growth.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new sales processes, seeking approval from upper management and ensuring smooth execution.
  • Utilize data analysis techniques to refine territory assignments and strategic account targeting, optimizing sales effectiveness and resource allocation.
  • Conduct compelling virtual and on-site presentations for clients, articulating value propositions and delivering technical information to drive sales conversions.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to enhance brand visibility and oversee sales activities.
  • Develop and document departmental policies and standard operating procedures as necessary to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Establish and manage the departmental budget, providing regular status reports to upper management and ensuring financial accountability.
  • Review and approve/reject expense reports submitted by sales representatives, ensuring adherence to company policies and budgetary guidelines.
  • Master company systems such as ERP and CRM to optimize departmental efficiencies and accountability, driving process improvements and data-driven decision-making.
  • Support sales staff with pricing and estimating practices as needed, leveraging expertise to maximize revenue potential and competitiveness.
  • Provide assistance to customer service and technical departments as required, fostering a culture of collaboration and customer-centricity.
  • Conduct negotiations with customers on contract terms, returns, cancellations, etc., leveraging strong communication and negotiation skills to achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Analyze data from various sources to identify opportunities for strategic market penetration and effective lead assignments, informing sales strategies and resource allocation.
  • Provide comprehensive weekly reports to the Director of Sales, Marketing, & Products on sales activities, forecasts, and departmental needs, ensuring transparency and accountability in performance tracking and decision-making.
  • Execute various tasks, as assigned by your manager, supervisor, or company officer, whether within your standard duties or as requested beyond regular responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business preferred.

Work Experience

  • 7 - 10 years of successful sales management experience preferred.
  • Technical or industrial sales management experience preferred.

Skills

  • Demonstrated expertise in CRM and ERP systems, as well as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, enabling efficient data management, reporting, and presentation creation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, coupled with adeptness in delivering persuasive presentations and conducting effective negotiations to foster positive client relationships.
  • Proven ability to set ambitious goals and consistently meet or exceed them, with a track record of driving sales growth and achieving targets in dynamic business environments.
  • Skilled in resolving conflicts and addressing challenges with diplomacy and professionalism, fostering collaborative solutions to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to quickly grasp and effectively communicate technical information related to mechanical products and their applications, facilitating informed discussions and enhancing customer interactions.
