Job Summary: As a Procurement Specialist, you will play a vital role in managing the company's procurement activities. You will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, equipment, and services required for the company's operations. Your primary objective will be to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement while maintaining high quality and adherence to company standards. This role requires strong analytical skills, vendor management expertise, and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities:

    Identify procurement needs by collaborating with internal departments and stakeholders to determine material, equipment, or service requirements. Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery timelines. Create and maintain a database of approved suppliers and vendors. Prepare and issue purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors and set up new vendors. Assist with negotiating (vendor) pricing. Evaluate supplier performance, including on-time delivery, quality, and responsiveness. Coordinate with internal teams to determine inventory requirements and maintain appropriate stock levels. Responsible for ordering supplies and equipment. Monitor inventory levels, track usage, and forecast future needs to avoid stock-outs or excess inventory.

Requirements:

    Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred but not required. Proven experience as a procurement specialist or in a similar procurement role. Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and regulations. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. Proficiency in using procurement software and tools. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
