Position: Pediatric Physical Therapist, Early Supports for Infants and Toddlers

• $47,213 - $112,200, Depending on Experience and Hours/Week
• PT/FT work schedule available, ranging from 25-40 hours per week with benefits

Our ESIT (Early Support for Infants and Toddlers) Team is hiring a Physical Therapist to work with children birth to three and their families! Join our team of providers and our mission as we partner with families to build healthy foundations and community where all children thrive.

You will be joining a team that is focused on holistic, wrap-around care to meet the critical individual needs of the developing child and support for the family. You will be working with a team of providers offering multidisciplinary care in a community that connects with, encourages, and build relationships with one another.

Scope: The ESIT Physical Therapist is responsible for the planning and implementation of therapeutic services in conjunction with the early intervention team providing a treatment plan supporting the functional development of a child’s ability to complete daily living activities. The Physical Therapist works with families and their children ages birth to three years old in the child’s natural environment which may include home, childcare, or other community-based settings using a parent coaching model. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide services to children and families, offering parent participation during treatment to encourage parent involvement and training
• Provide parent/family coaching support
• Evaluate children for program qualification
• Develop on-going individualized goals and regular progress reports
• Participate with team members on a regular basis and provide inter-disciplinary consultations with other providers as needed
• Complete written daily treatment notes and billing in a timely manner to document services rendered
• Include parents in decision making opportunities at progress report/reassessment periods
• Monitor and track caseload requirements with on-going new referrals
• Participate in staff development/training opportunities
• Maintain high standards of confidentiality, attendance, and flexibility, while working cooperatively with supervisors and other employees.
• Supervise interns as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program with valid Washington State license
• Pass Washington State DSHS criminal history and background check and FBI fingerprint check if not in state for more than the past 3 years
• Infant and child CPR, first aid, and blood borne pathogens training within 90 days of hire
• Valid Washington State driver’s license and vehicle insurance

Preferred

• Early Intervention experience
• At least one year of pediatric experience
• Bilingual in English and Spanish

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This is an active job requiring lifting up to 25-30 lbs, frequently squatting, sitting on the floor and active work with children.
