PSI Proteam Solutions Inc is Hiring a Technical Designer Near Smithtown, NY
Collaborate and partner with Design and Merchant teams as well as other cross-functional associates including Raw Material, Regional TD, Product Development, Product Performance, Production & Sourcing, QA, and Vendors and trim/component suppliers, taking responsibility for the technical development of new styles and application of all quality standards relating to fit and construction. Ensure garment consistency across product categories, analyze and communicate risk during the development cycle, and continuously seek to drive product improvements to ensure best-in-class fit, comfort, and performance with the goal of consistently exciting our customers and exceeding wearing expectations.
- 5-7 years of industry experience with at least 2-3 years of intimate apparel experience preferred.
- Experience using a product development technical specification program (PDM, PLM, etc).
- Knowledge of Bra/Swim patternmaking, construction, fit, and grading.
- Knowledge of factory, manufacturing techniques, and machinery.
- Organization skills and ability to multi-task.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word etc).
- Technical education in garment fit and construction to degree level or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in shapewear fit a bonus
- Experience in Sport fit a bonus
- Experience using 3D software a bonus (Clo3D, Browzwear, etc.).
