Job Title: Machine Shop Supervisor

Overview: We are seeking an experienced Machine Shop Supervisor to join our growing company and impart their knowledge and expertise daily. In this role, you will oversee a crew of manual and CNC machinists at our manufacturing facility, where we build grapples, clamshell buckets, and more. These products play a crucial role in the global supply chain, from loading grain in Ukraine to copper ore in Peru. As a supervisor, you will ensure the production of high-quality components necessary for assembling our product lines.
Responsibilities:

• Ensure all documentation is completed correctly and promptly.
• Maintain effective communication and cooperation with other supervisors and operations management.
• Uphold a high standard of quality in all work processes.
• Enforce company procedures, regulations, and discipline among staff.
• Ensure adherence to Health & Safety policies and practices by all staff.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping standards at all times.
• Implement safe workplace practices continuously and upgrade them as needed.
• Develop practices to ensure parts meet all quality requirements while maintaining operational efficiency.
• Drive key performance metrics, including scheduling and job hours.
• Participate actively in accountability meetings.
• Maintain, repair, and adhere to preventative maintenance schedules for all machinery.
• Manage and control stock material levels to meet production needs without disrupting workflow.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a machine shop environment.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to utilize resources effectively to achieve business objectives.
• Knowledge or willingness to learn basic CNC operation to track and enhance productivity.
