NATC is Hiring a Parts Runner Near Silver Springs, NV

The Nevada Automotive Test Center (NATC) is currently seeking talented candidates for a Parts Runner at our Silver Springs, NV location. At NATC, our Parts Runner supports a team of engineers who design, manufacture, and test innovative automotive mobility solutions.

Founded in 1957, the Nevada Automotive Test Center (NATC) is a privately owned, independent test, evaluation, design and engineering facility offering development and testing to customers worldwide. NATC’s location in the great basin of Nevada allows our team to access terrain that can represent 85% of the world within a 150 mile radius, providing an excellent test bed for off-road mobility. NATC’s operational area includes 1,200 sq. miles of natural terrain, that when coupled with 6,200 acres of privately owned test courses, create an unparalleled testing area available to our engineers to innovate and solve our customer’s problems.

Position Summary:

Works under the direct supervision of the Facilities Manager. Responsible for picking up orders from vendors and delivering items to the requesting individual. Ensures that items are delivered to the proper location in a timely manner. Assists the Shipping and Receiving Department with deliveries and distribution within the company. Helps management with vendor selection and maintains relationships with vendors and suppliers.

Essential Functions:

1. Uses a company-owned vehicle to pick up and deliver various items including supplies, parts, commissary items, bank deposits, mail, etc., and maintains vehicle logs.

2. Verifies part numbers and quantities of the parts being picked up match the numbers and quantities on the PO.

3. Picks up and delivers parts and mail for and between all departments.

4. Pulls or fills parts orders.

5. Adheres to delivery and pick-up schedules.

6. Assists Shipping and Receiving with deliveries on a daily basis.

7. Ensures that items are received at the correct locations and in a timely manner.

8. Helps employees locate various materials and items.

9. Maintains contact with local vendors and suppliers and advises management on vendor selection.

10. Relates well with employees and customers at all levels and at all times in a professional and personable manner.

11. Other duties as assigned.

Marginal Functions:

1. Assists with special projects.

Pay:

$19.00 to $21.00

Minimum Qualifications:

1. High school graduate or equivalent.

2. Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a current Nevada Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.

3. Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

4. Must have excellent organization and time management skills.

5. Must be flexible and able to handle multiple priorities.

Work Conditions:

1. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
