Community Health Educator

No Remote Work.
Salary- Low- 40s- Negotiable depending on education and experience.
Full-time 40 hours per week. (Some Flexible hours).
Program: The Missouri Bootheel Healthy Start program- provides case management, community mobilization, and group education to reduce disparities and perinatal outcomes for women, infants, and families.
Service Region: Pemiscot, Dunklin, New Madrid, Mississippi, Scott, Butler
This position offers the opportunity to make a positive and empowering impact on the community by promoting perinatal health education and healthy lifestyles.
Job Summary: The ideal candidate must be self-motivated and enjoy working with families, teaching, and facilitating meetings. Provides oversight of the Missouri Bootheel Healthy Start program education goals. Responsible for coordinating group-based Prenatal/Post-Partum and Parenting education classes using an evidence-based curriculum. Collaborates and builds partnerships with programs and resources in the service region - ability to deliver education in diverse settings including virtual meeting platforms.
Experience: Public speaking and delivering health-related presentations.
Background in public health, nursing, social work, community health worker,
community -based outreach, or other health-related fields. Familiar with media health education campaigns.
Requirements: Graduate from an accredited college with a Bachelor’s Science degree in public health or a related field is required, along with two or more years of relevant work experience. Time management, organizational, and effective communication skills. Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Effectively work with a team and independently.
It requires travel in the service region, reliable transportation with insurance, and a valid driver’s license as a condition of employment. Company vehicles are available to support travel in the region.
