TRISTAR Insurance Group is Hiring a Client Service Administrator Near Signal Hill, CA

This can be a remote position.Must have knowledge of Disability and Absence Management laws and regulations.POSITION SUMMARY: Under minimal supervision directs overall Client Service functions and Implementation of new accounts for TRISTAR Benefit Administrators which includes managing staff in all aspects of their technical performance and compliance with TRISTAR policies and procedures and operating within established financial restraints. Maintains effective communication with clients to ensure contract compliance and provide excellent customer service.
Duties And Responsibilities
  • Maintain client data in Salesforce for all clients and prospective clients.*
  • Responsible for overall TRISTAR Benefit Administrators client services in coordination with the Director of Account Management and Client Services.*
  • Oversees implementation process of new clients in coordination with Director of Account Management and Client Services.*
  • Set up and maintain AbsenceTracker system with client policies and administer changes.*
  • Oversee application process for new Voluntary Plans and processing in coordination with CA Employment Development Department for assigned clients.
  • Provide statistical data for use of VDI surplus to clients for assigned clients.
  • Interface with IT and client on demographic file issues as needed.
  • Train clients with on-line and mobile reporting system
  • Develops and maintains strong working relationships with clients in order to ensure their client servicing expectations and/or needs are being met.
  • Ensures compliance with corporate and client guidelines regarding TRISTAR Benefit Administrators procedures.
  • Prepares and ensures distribution of client quarterly/monthly reports.*
  • Provides ad hoc reports, as may be required, at client’s request.
  • Coordinates and prepares for internal and external audits.
  • Assist with regular staff training sessions as may be required, independently, and/or as directed by unit Management Team.
  • Assists Home Office and sales/service team with RFP’s, client service issues or new client presentations.
  • Contract maintenance and accountability for TBA-LGB clients.
  • Maintains visibility in the industry by supporting and attending industry sponsored functions, speaking engagements and educational / teaching opportunities.
  • Manages office functions that support TRISTAR operations administration.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
EQUIPMENT OPERATED/USED: Computer, 10-key, printer, copier, fax machine and other office equipment.
SPECIAL EQUIPMENT OR CLOTHING: Appropriate office attire.
Qualifications RequiredEducation/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in related field (preferred); five (5) to ten (10) years related experience in Absence Management and Disability Plans; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
  • Exceptionally strong technical claims handling skills and knowledge of Disability and Absence Management laws and regulations.
  • Experience in supervising claims operations.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
  • Experience with, or the ability to quickly grasp, the financial issues involved in operating a branch office.
  • Computer literacy in Word, Vizio, Excel and PowerPoint and claims information systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to convey technical details to claimants, clients and staff.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret claims loss reports.
  • Effectively present information and respond to questions from corporate office, clients, vendors and staff.
  • Ability to manage diverse staff.
Other Qualifications
  • Certifications and/or licenses as required by State regulation.
  • CPDM Certification or CLMS Certification preferred but not required.
