Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work under the supervision of an experienced licensed Physical Therapist to provide patient care and assist with therapeutic exercises and treatments as part of a plan of care. **Pay is negotiable, will depend on experience, and can be tailored to fit your individual needs.**
Duties:
- Assist in implementing treatment plans as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist
- Provide hands-on therapy to patients, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities to relieve pain and control Inflammation.
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
- Educate patients and their families on proper techniques for at-home exercises and self-care
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Assist the Physical Therapist in care planning modification, documentation detail and real-life adjustments to ensure optimal patient outcome through feedback and regular meetings
Requirements:
- Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Experience in various settings such as home health, hospitals, outpatient clinics, or rehabilitation centers preferred
- Proficiency in providing skilled patient care, including therapeutic exercises, gait and balance training
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with other healthcare professionals
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, computer proficiency for use in documentation
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Avid desire to help develop and refine clinical and wellness programs for the clinic and community settings that enhance the presence and growth of the practice
