Columbia Western Machinery is Hiring a Heavy Equipment Shop Technician Near Sherwood, OR

HEAVY EQUIPMENT SHOP TECHNICIAN: The position will diagnose and repair equipment and allied products in the shop. Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Analyzing and diagnosing (troubleshooting) equipment malfunctions or failures.
  • Repairing, replacing, and/or rebuilding engines, transmissions, final drives, steering, clutches, cross shafts, hydraulic components, electrical systems, and air systems.
  • Welding and fabrication as required.
  • Determine the correct parts needed to complete the task, order them from the Parts Department, and return all unused parts promptly.
  • Communicating courteously and effectively with customers regarding all aspects of the work.
Applicants must have three-plus years’ experience working on all heavy equipment makes and models. Must be assertive, a self-starter, and able to work without direct supervision. Must have own tools.
