Position Summary: As a Dental Treatment Coordinator, you will play a important role in ensuring our patients receive the best care possible. You will be responsible for assisting patients in understanding their treatment plans, maximizing their dental benefits, and navigating financial aspects of their care. Your excellent communication skills and dedication to helping patients make informed decisions will make you a key member of our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients in understanding how to maximize their dental benefits.
- Calculate treatment fees based on various fee schedules.
- Educate patients about their treatment plans, insurance benefits, and financial responsibilities.
- Support our providers by addressing patient questions regarding treatment risks and alternatives.
- Assist patients with financing options, insurance inquiries, and treatment concerns.
- Monitor and help meet production and collection goals.
- Collect patient payments, post payments, and issue receipts.
- Follow up with unpaid insurance claims.
- Maintain patient accounts, including collections, refunds, statement billing, and credits.
- Assist the Front Office as needed and directed by management.
- Answer phones and schedule appointments as necessary.
- Support the Office Manager with daily reports and collections reconciliation.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 1 year of dental experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High motivation and professionalism.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Knowledge of dental treatment coordination and insurance billing.
- Ability to work well within a team and under pressure.
