Triumph Group, Inc. is Hiring a Manager I, Operations Near Shelbyville, IN

Responsibilities Supervisory responsibilities which include interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, monitoring work, providing communication, feedback and ongoing support, performance reviews, career development, discipline and resolving issues in accordance with applicable laws and/or company policy. Monitors and ensures a positive work environment for employees. Establish work flow for all manufacturing activities, including coordinating activity with other departments, development of manufacturing plans, identifying material, facility, equipment, and tooling needs, and resolving manufacturing and maintenance problems. Directs production activities in accordance with production schedules, and established priorities, ensuring maximum utilization of assigned resources, machines, personnel, and materials. Evaluate existing manufacturing activity to ensure focus on core competencies, and identify future growth opportunities to maximize use of in-house machining and manufacturing capabilities. Ensure the manufacturing organization is fully compliant with all regulating authority, customer, and applicable workplace safety programs and requirements. Ensure all work is accomplished using appropriate data, tools, and measuring equipment and follows established procedures. . Ensure machine maintenance is accomplished and establish preventative maintenance program to minimize schedule disruptions. Manage manufacturing engineers to ensure all manufacturing, machining, and assembly operations are fully supported, establish priorities, and create Strategic long term plans to address future needs. Assist in development of budget plans, including headcount, tooling and machine requirements, etc. and provide input on cost reduction initiative programs. Responsible for setting and achieving metrics for manufacturing performance including delivery, quality, efficiency, and cost. Understands and supports quality policies and implements guidelines to assure adherence to quality documents and standards. Works with Project Engineering group on new product development to ensure cost targets are met. Qualifications
Four (4) year business/management/manufacturing degree or equivalent work experience.
Ten (10) years of manufacturing or machining experience with a strong technical background in shop floor operations and work flow with aerospace applications preferred. Must have management experience with evidence of progressive responsibility, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong organizational ability
