Position Summary
Works under direct supervision to perform a variety of janitorial functions for Juvenile Court Office.
Pay Grade: 41H
Minimum Qualifications
1. One (1) year of experience in custodial services; AND
2. High school diploma or possess a GED.
3. PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Dusts, cleans, polishes and waxes furniture, fixtures, woodwork and equipment.
2. Washes windows and walls, shampoos carpet and cleans blinds.
3. Sweeps, mops, waxes and polishes floors and stairwells.
4. Disposes of waste materials.
5. Performs all cleaning requirements necessary for maintenance of bathrooms.
6. Replenishes bathroom supplies change light bulbs.
7. Keeps utility storage rooms in good order by cleaning lockers and equipment, arranging supplies, and sweeping and mopping floors.
8. Operates a high and low speed buffer as well as a commercial vacuum and carpet extraction machine.
9. Performs other related duties as required or directed.
KSA's
1. Ability to learn simple tasks related to janitorial work.
2. Ability to operate all equipment required to perform functions of the job.
3. Ability to interact with others courteously.
4. Ability to follow instructions.
Physical Requirements
1. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
2. Must have manual dexterity to use common cleaning devices.
Special Requirements
Must be available to work nights and weekends.
