AIDS Care Group is Hiring a Supervising Psychologist Near Sharon, PA

DescriptionThe Supervising Psychologist is responsible for promoting and restoring patients’ health through psychotherapy. As a member of the specialty mental health care team, the incumbent will collaborate with the Primary Care team and other team members to support our patients in achieving positive health outcomes. The Supervising Psychologist provides direct patient care, provides clinical supervision to trainees in mental health professions, and serves as part of the supervisory team. It is the Supervising Psychologist’s responsibility to protect the public, to protect the profession, and to ensure that their trainees receive appropriate training.

Some benefits are subject to eligibility requirements.
This is an in-person position. The incumbent may work three (3), four (4) or five (5) full days. Stated starting salary range is based on working 5 days per week and will be adjusted to reflect the schedule.
Starting salary range: $90,000.00 - $105,000.00 per yearReports to: Director of Psychology
FLSA status: Exempt
  • Greet and acknowledge all patients according to agency standards
  • Receive, record and relay messages accurately, completely and legibly
  • Speak with others using clear, professional and polite language
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support the ACG team to reach common goal
  • Provide direct clinical care and complete all relevant documentation within 72 hours of care
  • Create individualized treatment plans with an integrative, patient-centered focus
  • Foster open, empathic, and trusting relationships among team members to create safe space for creative treatment planning
  • Provide effective leadership towards all stakeholders
  • Effectively manage assigned trainees
  • Co-sign all clinical notes written by trainees
  • Maintain primary clinical and legal responsibility for the clinical work of assigned trainees. Attend to the protection of the public, the protection of the profession, and the development of the trainee
  • Document all supervisory meetings using approved ACG form
  • Complete evaluations of trainees as required by their training programs
  • Serve as a member of AIDS Care Group Psychology leadership team
  • Proactively suggest improvements for the program
  • Co-create and co-sign all trainee work products that leave the agency
  • Seek consultation on difficult supervisory or clinical situations
  • Maintain the confidentiality of ACG clients to the extent allowable by Pennsylvania and federal laws including HIPAA, the PA Confidentiality of HIV Information Act (Act 148), and 42 CFR Part 2
  • Stay in compliance with all applicable state and federal law as it relates to the profession of Psychology
  • Follow all rules, regulations and guidelines of the American Psychological Association (APA) Ethical Principles of Psychologists and Code of Conduct
  • Complete continuing education requirements to maintain license and credentials
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • A Doctoral Degree in Psychology
  • At least one course in clinical supervision as required by PA law
  • A minimum of 2 years experience providing professional therapy to clients with a wide range of DSM diagnoses
  • Maintain professional liability (malpractice) insurance with coverage at a minimum of $1,000,000/occurrence and $3,000,000 aggregate. Verified cover sheet to be provided and updated annually by the psychologist
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Extensive knowledge of psychological theory and practice
  • Demonstrated clinical writing skills and the ability to train and oversee other therapists’ charting
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, their families, couples, and groups with mental health problems

  • Ability to use photocopiers, scanners
  • Proficiency with MS Office
  • Must have reliable transportation and the ability to travel from site to site as needed
