Field Surveyor Crew Chief —Sevier County, TN
The Field Surveyor Crew Chief is responsible for working with office and field staff to collect data for various project types.
Description
· Completes field assignments accurately while ensuring the safety of personnel and equipment.
· Performs the following surveys: boundary, control, topographic, construction layout and staking, environmental mapping, GPS/GIS surveys, and land surveying.
· Completes the field work by performing the survey functions and guides junior field personnel.
· Future potential to perform some of the survey tasks in the office – CAD experience is a plus.
Requirements:
· Associates or Bachelor's degree in Land Surveying preferred. Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
· Minimum 2 years experience as a Crew Chief. Experience with the use of GPS a must; experience with Drones, Robotic Total Station and data collectors a plus. Experience with Construction layout also a plus.
· Ability to communicate professionally orally and in writing, read and interpret survey maps and construction plans
· Good driving record
· Perform heavy lifting up to 50 lbs
· Possess sufficient stamina to work in outdoor (hot & cold) environment
