The City of Sergeant Bluff is taking applications for a full-time maintenance worker. This person will be working in all departments of City Operations including Electric, Parks, Water, Sewer and Street Maintenance. General construction, plumbing, maintenance, electrical, water, sewer, streets, and equipment knowledge a plus. Starting wage range is $26.50 - $27.56/hour, plus a great benefit package. Experience in the operation of maintenance equipment such as trucks, skid loader, backhoe and Motor Grader is a plus. All full-time employees must obtain a Class II Water Certificate issued by the State of Iowa, DNR. Also all full-time employees must have a valid Iowa Drivers License and a CDL endorsement of at least a Class B with air brakes.
Applicant may have up to two months to acquire this licensure. Must live within 30 minutes of City limits. Applications will be taken at City Hall, 501 4th Street, Sergeant Bluff, Iowa.
