We're seeking a highly-motivated and energetic Project Manager IT to work on several innovative, complex, highly visible, enterprise-level projects for learners from middle school through college. You will work collaboratively with stakeholders to plan, direct, organize, and execute against project requirements; identify and acquire necessary resources and coordinate efforts by all parties to ensure timely delivery of project outcomes in accordance with the sponsoring source's expectations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Plan, develop, implement, and manage a project team through complete task definitions and work requirement identification and assignments
  • Work closely and collaboratively with the project team and key stakeholders to define project scope, strategy, budget, and outcomes; identify critical resource expertise and target appropriate internal and/or external sources to ensure optimal outcome(s)
  • Establish and continually monitor/manage project expectations with the team; assign tasks and identify issues for resolution to ensure team effectiveness; escalate issues when appropriate
  • Prepare and maintain all project status reports and schedules; track milestones/deliverables, issues, critical paths and dependencies; re-set expectations as needed in consideration of project progress/outcomes
  • Respond to all inquiries regarding project status; prepare and respond to all regulatory reporting/filings to ensure compliance
  • Direct, coach, and supervise all project team members both internal, external and contracted to ensure optimal outcomes; build, develop, and maintain relationships vital to project success
  • Coordinate procurement and implementation of new hardware/software, as needed.
  • Identify risks and manage identified risks throughout the project lifecycle
  • Implement agile and scrum methodologies through project lifecycle
  • Manage student workers, as assigned
  • Prepare all post-project reports and summaries/filings to ensure timely dissemination of information to all interested parties
  • Collaborate with the project team and key stakeholders to strategize for the successful deployment of projects and scaling of products to the enterprise level
  • Assumes or coordinates other duties or projects as assigned or directed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree and 5 years related experience; 1 of which are in project management, or any equivalent combination of experience and /or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience developing strategies and specifications for projects
  • Experience working with a large variety of stakeholders, technical and non-technical
  • Evidence of having successfully managed complex technology projects
  • Evidence of effective communication and problem solving skills
  • Experience with process optimization
  • Evidence of PM certifications such as PMP and/or Scrum
  • Experience with Atlassian/Jira
  • Ability to manage and mitigate conflict
  • Able to move forward meaningfully in an ambiguous environment
  • Evidence of a bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.

Working Environment
EdPlus at ASU is located at SkySong, the ASU Scottsdale Innovation Center. The center houses a diverse business community that links technology, research, education, and entrepreneurship to position ASU and Greater Phoenix as global leaders in the knowledge economy.
Activities are primarily performed in a regular, climate-controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting or standing. Daily use of desktop or laptop computer is required. Ability to clearly communicate verbally in English, read, write, see, and hear to perform essential duties. Regular review of completed tasks.
EdPlus at ASU supports flexible work options, ranging from alternate work schedules to hybrid remote work schedules, subject to approvals per ASU policy. (This is not a fully remote position.)
