ResponsibilitiesTRC is a global consulting firm providing environmentally advanced and technology-powered solutions for the oil and gas, power and infrastructure industry. Backed by 50 years of design know-how, we combine science and applied technology with sound business strategy to solve complex transportation infrastructure challenges for today and tomorrow. Our assignments include small and medium-sized bridges, culverts, railroad grade separations, viaducts, and major water crossings in both rural and urban environments.
TRC has multiple openings for Transportation Construction Inspectors of all levels throughout West Virginia.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily site inspections for highway and/or bridge construction projects to verify compliance with approved plans, specifications, and codes.
- Measure and record pay quantities.
- Prepare daily reports.
- Review the Contractor's schedule.
- Review and provide input on potential change order issues.
- Maintain project records.
- High School Diploma, or equivalent.
- Six (6) months of construction experience with bridges, roadways, and highways.
- Valid driver's license.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to obtain WVTRET Certification within six (6) months of hire.
- WVTRET Certification (Level I - V).
- WVDOH Materials Certifications in Soil - Aggregate Compaction, Portland Cement Concrete and Asphalt Field - Compaction.
- Associate's degree in civil engineering technology, or related.
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering technology, or related.
- Medical, dental, vision, and disability insurance.

- Paid time off contingent upon full time or part time status and level of seniority (ranging from 15 to 25 days per year).

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
