Successful Plastics Manufacturer in Texas has immediate openings for experienced Injection Stretch Blow Molding, Injection Molding & Blow Molding Process Technicians.
Essential Functions:
The Process Technician will set up and operate plastic injection-molding machines. Prior experience is required. Sets machine controls and regulates molding temperature, volume of plastic, molding pressure and time, according to plastics and molding procedures. Assist Mold Setters to safely complete mold changes and to maintain quality parts at an acceptable cycle time. Establishes and maintains the set points to produce a quality part at the optimum cycle. Inspect all tools needed to complete mold change. Troubleshooting of molding machines and auxiliary equipment. Resets and starts all material and conveyor equipment. Robot startup and processing. Perform routine maintenance on molds, such as cleaning and fixing water breaks. Records data on proper forms or books. Performs color changes with and without purging compound.
Qualifications:
Scientific processing knowledge with a 2-year technical degree preferred. 3 - 5 of years’ injection molding experience required in Process Technician area. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common technical documentation and production documentation. Ability to respond to common inquiries from management staff. Ability to present and communicate information effectively. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Knowledge of robot operation and mechanical skills. Experience with Plastic all Electric Injection Molding machines required. Experience with the following tonnage Plastic Injection Molding machines highly desired: Sumitomo, Aoki, Akei, and Cincinnati Milacron.
