We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to join our team as a Birthday Party Host. In this position you will play a pivotal role in creating memorable birthday celebrations for our guests. You will be responsible for leading birthday party activities, engaging guests of all ages, and ensuring a fun experience for everyone involved.

This position reports to the Guest Services Supervisors and Guest Services Manager.

PRIMARY DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Decoration and prep of our birthday party room before party guest arrival

• Greeting birthday party guests upon arrival and providing a warm welcome

• Proactively engaging with guests for the duration of their party and tending to their needs, especially those of the host family

• Coordinating guests for party time activities including lunch, cake time, and various aquarium experiences

• Assisting with any additional tasks or requests to ensure the smooth execution of the party event

• Ensuring that the host family has made their final event payment before departing the aquarium

• Thorough post party cleanup of our party room space

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

• Customer service experience is preferred, but not required

• Experience working around children is preferred, but not required

POSITION SPECIFICS:

• This is a part-time, non-exempt position

• Weekend availability is required

• Shifts are scheduled based on operation hours and may change as deemed necessary for business purposes. Early shifts normally begin at 10am. Afternoon/evening shifts normally end at 6pm. Depending on the party bookings you may be scheduled for either a full day or a half day.

• Other shifts may be offered based on the needs of upcoming aquarium events and activities
