Job DescriptionAlrek Business Solutions is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing support, resources, and advocacy to individuals and families to help them navigate and overcome personal and systemic challenges. The Social Worker will work collaboratively with clients to assess their needs, develop care plans, and connect them with appropriate services and resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' needs, strengths, and goals.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with clients and other professionals.
- Provide counselling and emotional support to clients and their families.
- Advocate for clients' rights and access to necessary services and resources.
- Collaborate with community organizations, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to coordinate services.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records and documentation.
- Monitor and evaluate clients' progress and adjust care plans as needed.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case conferences.
- Stay informed about current social services policies, programs, and best practices.
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Social Worker (LCSW, LMSW, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in social work, preferably in a similar setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to build trust and rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Knowledge of social services systems, community resources, and relevant legislation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- High level of organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in electronic health records and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in social work (BSW or MSW) from an accredited institution or a related field.
- Experience working with specific populations such as children, the elderly, or individuals with mental health or substance abuse issues.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities.
- Additional certifications in specialized areas (e.g., clinical social work, trauma-informed care).
