RemX The Workforce Experts is Hiring an EHS Manager Near Savannah, GA

DescriptionRemX has an immediate opening for an EHS Manager with a growing star up located in Savannah, GA.
Starting Salary: $105,000- $115,000/year plus excellent benefits
Relocation available for well qualified candidate.
This position is responsible for leading and promoting the EHS initiatives, developing internal safety policies and practices, ensuring that the sites remain in compliance with all applicable EHS laws and regulations, and providing leadership and guidance to team members.
Responsibilities
  • Identify and eliminate hazards and risks in the work environment
  • Provide guidance on environmental, workplace safety, and industrial health issues
  • Work in EHS and Risk Management databases
  • Analyze data, identify trends, and prepare reports and presentations per OHSAS and ISO systems
  • Create safety policies and practices
  • Conduct incident investigation to determine root cause and necessary corrective actions
  • Conduct hazard and risk assessments
  • Make recommendations to amend safety policies and procedures
  • Provide training programs related to OSHA, EPA,
  • Manage incident investigation program to prevent recurrence of incidents and to ensure information on incidents are shared adequately across all programs
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational health & Safety or related field
  • 5-7 years of experience in an EHS related management or training role
  • Excellent communication skills
  • OSHA and EPA regulations
  • OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 Management Systems
