Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Painter to join our team. As a Painter, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces and applying paint to various structures, ensuring high-quality workmanship and attention to detail. Duties: - Prepare surfaces by scraping, sanding, and filling holes or cracks - Apply primer or sealer to prepare surfaces for painting - Mix, match, and apply paint to surfaces using brushes, rollers, or sprayers - Cover surfaces with drop cloths or masking tape to protect surrounding areas - Calculate the amount of materials needed for each project - Clean and maintain painting tools and equipment - Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time and within budget - Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean work area Skills: - Strong knowledge of color theory and the ability to mix paint colors accurately - Proficiency in various painting techniques including plastering, stucco application, and carpentry framing - Experience in fixture installation and construction painting - Ability to read blueprints and construction plans - Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality workmanship - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team - Knowledge of construction estimating is an asset We offer competitive pay rates based on experience.
