Job Overview:

Our company is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to help oversee the day-to-day operations of our organization. As the manager, you will work closely with the Vice President of Operations to ensure effective management of labor, productivity, quality control, and safety measures. This position requires an enthusiastic self-starter who is a team player with excellent management, decision making, and communication skills. Responsibilities:

• Assist with planning, scheduling, and dispatching drivers/contractors
• Monitor quality assurance throughout the moving process
• Assist with preparing proposals for the purchase of equipment, services, and supplies
• Cultivate a team-oriented workplace and maintain positive relationships with internal teams and external parties
• Ensure facilities and equipment are kept clean, neat, and orderly
• Work alongside the Warehouse Managers to discuss the handling of upcoming orders, upkeep of equipment, and inventory management
• Assist Safety Manager in oversight of safe work practices
• Work with Claims Director to mitigate and resolve claim issues
• Master the art of providing world class customer service and train contractors and employees to uphold the same standards
• Promote and maintain adherence to company policies and procedures
• Verify compliance with DOT regulations and FMCSA guidelines
• Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices
• Represent the company in a professional manner
• All other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Vice President of Operations

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of managerial experience within the household goods moving industry
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management or relevant field is preferred
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work well with others in a fast paced and dynamic environment
• Ability to lead, motivate, develop, and direct people
• Must have comprehension of truck specifications
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Must be able to pass a background test and drug screen

New hires are subject to a 90-day probationary period.

Salary will be commensurate with experience.
