Velocity Physical Therapy is looking for a Physical Therapy Aide to work in an outpatient orthopedic clinic. This is a part time position ,shift on Monday- Wednesday - Friday from 9:30am to 5:00pm with possibility to convert to a full time role.

We are looking for a candidate with prior experience in the fitness field, Personal/athletic training.

This would be a great position for a recent college graduate currently in the process of applying to Physical Therapy school. We can provide recommendation letters for those pursuing graduate school and school internships if needed.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Check-in and greet patients and perform front desk duties
• Work directly under the supervision of treating Physical Therapist
• Supervise patients performing exercises in the clinic
• Perform routine electrical modalities, traction and thermal modalities.
• Setup treatment areas for patients and disinfect after the treatment is over, maintain laundry .
• Help in office tasks such as collecting copay, take patient phone calls, enter patients info in EMR, filing.
• Help in printing home exercise program
• Maintain safe and clean working environment
• Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies and communicating to person in charge or ordering

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills and ability to build rapport with patients
• The ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
• Working on or have completed a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Anatomy or Physiology.
• Valid CPR Certification

Compensation is dependent on experience
Minimum 6 month commitment is preferred
