Summary: This position is responsible for managing all retail store functions, including staff supervision, over-the-counter sales, excellent customer service, merchandise stocking and display, proper cash/invoice processing, accurate inventory, and cleanliness, security and safety of the store and staff. Emphasis is on sales growth, profitability and total customer satisfaction. Additional warehouse related responsibilities include planning, organizing, and monitoring the receipt, storage, movement, and shipment of all store inventories.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Directly supervises all store personnel, effectively carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, training new employees, evaluating performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, and addressing and resolving complaints.
  • Plans and assigns work to meet customer and construction crew needs, while maintaining a balanced and efficient workload for personnel.
  • Ensures all customers are served in a timely, friendly and professional manner.
  • Maintains store inventory to ensure customer needs are met, while ensuring the store is neat, clean and presentable at all times.
  • Ensures all transactions are accurate and done according to the Company’s policies and procedures, including pricing, discounting and credit policies.
  • Proactively maximizes store profitability by managing gross profit from sales while balancing store operating expenses within budgeted/expected levels.
  • Provides appropriate equipment, racking and safety devices to ensure the safe handling, transport and storage of all materials, as well as ensuring personnel always safely operate material handling equipment.
  • Monitors all receiving functions, ensuring receiving documents accurately reflect materials or parts received and ensures all materials and parts are moved to correct warehouse locations in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Oversees the rotation of inventories within the store/warehouse working closely with accounting to ensure all receipts, movements, and shipments of inventory are recorded accurately.
  • Ensures store/warehouse inventories are organized and follows all inventory control policies and procedures, including investigating discrepancies.
  • Cooperates with A/R, Purchasing and A/P to ensure invoicing, purchase orders, receiving and vendor payments are accurate, timely and according to procedures.
  • Oversees all inventory cycle counts, and year end physical inventory count for for the store/warehouse in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Three or more years of retail store experience.
  • Management experience is preferred.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred.

Pay: From $67,000.00 per year
