As a Learning and Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our internal team's productivity, efficiency, and overall performance. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement strategies, programs, and resources that empower our employees with the knowledge, skills, and tools they need to succeed in their roles. By facilitating continuous learning, fostering collaboration, and promoting best practices, you will contribute to the growth and success of our organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Training and Development: Design, deliver, and oversee training programs tailored to the specific needs of different departments and roles within the organization. This includes onboarding new hires, conducting ongoing skills development sessions, and organizing workshops to address identified gaps.
  • Content Creation: Develop high-quality training materials, resources, and documentation such as manuals, guides, videos, and presentations. Ensure that these materials are easily accessible and up to date to support ongoing learning and reference.
  • Process Improvement: With managers and leadership, identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement within existing workflows and processes. Work closely with department heads and team members to streamline operations, optimize workflows, and implement best practices where training and skills are an issue.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Foster a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and open communication within the organization. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and information exchange to enhance teamwork and alignment toward common goals.
  • Performance Monitoring and Evaluation: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of training initiatives and enablement programs. Regularly assess the impact of training on employee performance, productivity, and job satisfaction, and use feedback to iterate and improve programs.
  • Technology Adoption: Stay abreast of emerging technologies, tools, and platforms that can enhance internal processes and productivity. Identify opportunities for technology adoption and provide guidance and support to employees in effectively leveraging these tools.
  • Change Management: Lead change management initiatives related to process improvements, organizational restructuring, or recent technology implementations. Provide guidance, resources, and support to help employees adapt to changes.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Work closely with various departments to ensure alignment of learning and development efforts with organizational goals and objectives

Requirements
Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree in liberal studies, education, a related field, or a High School Diploma and comparable work experience are required.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • High degree of emotional intelligence, agile thinking and teamwork oriented.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS), content authoring tools, and other training technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and drive change within an organization.
  • Project management experience, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
Expected Outcomes:
  • Conduct comprehensive organizational needs assessment to identify skill gaps and development goals.
  • Develop a learning strategy aligned with organizational objectives, focusing on key areas, methodologies, and metrics.
  • Evaluate existing training programs, gather stakeholder feedback, and prioritize enhancements.
  • Engage stakeholders to gain support and input for learning initiatives.
  • Implement and oversee training rollout, utilizing technology and feedback mechanisms for continuous improvement.
