Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our nonprofit psychotherapy practice. The ideal candidate will have a quick capacity to understand medical billing processes and coding, ensuring accurate and timely reimbursement for services provided.

Responsibilities:

- Review and verify accuracy of billing data and revise any errors
- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies
- Follow up on unpaid claims
- Process payments from insurance companies and patients
- Investigate and appeal denied claims as needed
- Maintain patient billing records and respond to billing inquiries

Qualifications:
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems (optional)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy

- Familiarity with Google workspace apps (sheets and docs)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
