The phlebotomy technician's responsibilities include drawing blood, conducting patient interviews, checking patients' vital signs, and transporting blood samples to the laboratory for testing. When working with medical teams, the phlebotomy technician may be responsible for checking patients' blood pressure and heart rate and updating patients' records.
