Nissha Medical is Hiring an Engineering Intern Near Sandpoint, ID
We are looking for a summer intern in our automation engineering department. This position is for college students who are pursuing a degree in engineering. This position will require the employee to maintain the CAD system, assist with design projects, develop engineering documentation, perform and develop test protocol, and assist with research. Will be required to works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of situations or date require a review of identifiable factors. - Assist with design projects with developing documentation such as engineering specification, test protocols, procedures, and validation.
- Maintain the CAD drawing system with assigning work orders, archiving approved drawings, and ensuring the correct personnel receive requested drawings.
- Apply standard engineering techniques, processes and criteria in preparation of engineering deliverables: calculations, specifications, reports, and drawings.
- Assist in mathematical modeling, 3D design concepts, and prototyping to work out whether new developments and innovations will work and be cost effective.
- Research new materials, designs, and manufacturing processes.
- Collect and analyze data from testing on product, machines, and prototypes.
- Assist the Program Management Team with engineering.
- Assist the Quality Team with validation and documentation.
- Aids in the development of plans and protocols for evaluation of systems and components and/or reagent products and provides data for design review process.
- Assists in the design of new products and machines.
- Assist in project management with setting up scheduling, costing, and design proposals for new products, machines, and automation within the engineering department.
- Abides by all safety and security rules set forth by the company and regulatory agencies.
- Performs all other duties and responsibilities assigned by the president or its designated representative.
- Must be enrolled in a Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, or Biomedical engineering degree program.
- Effective skills in Microsoft Office Programs (i.e. Excel, Word, etc.), Windows/Network File systems.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and methods preferred.
- Knowledge and application of engineering and design principles.
- A sound knowledge of CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
- Working knowledge of the operation of related instrumentation.
- Presentation and meeting skills
