Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and attentive Patient Sitter to join our healthcare team. The Patient Sitter will provide essential support to patients in need of constant observation and assistance. This is a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals under our care.
Duties:
- Provide continuous monitoring and observation of assigned patients
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as needed
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for patients
- Respond promptly to patient needs and requests
- Document observations and incidents accurately
- Communicate effectively with healthcare team members
Experience:
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Experience in caregiving or similar roles
- Knowledge of basic patient care practices
- Ability to handle conflict management situations calmly and effectively
- Proficiency in taking vital signs and understanding resident rights
- Capability to perform heavy lifting when required
- Familiarity with first aid procedures
- Understanding of working with people with autism spectrum disorder
- Valid driver's license for transportation needs
