Conde Group Inc. is Hiring an Electrical Designer Near San Ramon, CA

Position: Electrical Designer

Location: San Ramon, CA (hybrid, must be located within the San Francisco Bay Area)

Pay: $40 to $58/hour (depending on experience)

Experience: 1 year of experience in a related position

Education: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering; working towards or obtains a licensure as Engineer-in-Training or as a Professional Engineer

Type: Full-time; Contract

Schedule: Day Shift

Conde Group is seeking an Electrical Designer to join a growing and dynamic team!

Job Description:

  • Site and survey analysis; review photographs and as-built drawings
  • Create digital or hand drafted mark-ups and sketches for BIM Technicians
  • Code analysis such as NEC, CEC and Utility Design Standards
  • Conduct accurate analysis and calculations
  • Plan design for power, lighting, fire alarm, etc.
  • Panel schedules for switchboards, distribution and brand circuit panels
  • Coordinate with architects, structural, civil and mechanical engineers
  • Conduct quality assurance and peer review

Position Requirements:

  • Create AutoCad drawings; able to manage CAD resources and external reference drawings, PDFs, images, etc.
  • Exercise good verbal and written technical communication
  • Participate in company meetings and client outreach
  • Work well interpedently and alongside others in a team environment
  • Must be a self-starter and self-motivated
  • Understanding of the flow of construction projects; on-field experience is a plus
  • Experience applying NFPA 70 (NEC), MFPA 70E, NFPA 72, NFPA 101 and other applicable codes
  • Knowledge of DraftSight and Revit
  • Utilize design standards, requirements and processes including PG&E, SMUD, etc.
  • Experience utilizing Google Workspace, Adobe PDF, Monday.com and Microsoft Office Suite
