Key Responsibilities:
- OAC Meetings:
- Participate in regular Owner-Architect-Contractor meetings.
- Provide technical input and updates on mechanical systems and progress.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to address and resolve issues.
- Submittal Review:
- Review and approve mechanical submittals to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Coordinate with suppliers and contractors to resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain detailed records of submittals and approvals.
- Drawing Review:
- Review mechanical drawings and specifications for accuracy and completeness.
- Identify and address potential design issues or conflicts.
- Provide feedback and recommendations to the design team.
- RFI Review:
- Review and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) related to mechanical systems.
- Coordinate with design and construction teams to provide clear and accurate information.
- Track RFIs and ensure timely responses to maintain project schedule.
- Construction Support:
- Provide on-site support during construction to ensure mechanical systems are installed correctly.
- Conduct inspections and quality control checks of mechanical installations.
- Assist in resolving on-site issues and coordinating with contractors.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on building construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
