Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Perform variance analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Present financial data and reports to senior management, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Collaborate with various departments to develop annual budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor actual performance against budgets, identifying deviations and recommending corrective actions.
- Continuously refine budgeting and forecasting processes to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Internal Controls and Compliance:
- Develop and implement robust internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and other financial regulations.
- Prepare for and facilitate external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations as needed.
- Cash Management:
- Monitor cash flows and manage working capital to ensure optimal liquidity for operational needs.
- Make informed recommendations for investment opportunities and cash reserves.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
- Provide guidance and support to team members, ensuring their professional development.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master's degree or CPA qualification preferred).
- Proven experience (X years) in a financial management or controller role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as ERP systems and Excel.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
