RESPONSIBILITIES:Lead the development and implementation of machine learning solutions:
- Design, test, and deploy machine learning models for tasks like product recommendation, demand forecasting, churn prediction, price optimization, and anomaly detection.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in machine learning and deep learning techniques, and identify suitable algorithms for business challenges.
- Collaborate with data engineers to develop and maintain data pipelines for collecting, cleaning, and transforming large datasets relevant to machine learning projects.
- Work with engineering teams to integrate machine learning models into the platform infrastructure for seamless user experience.
- Advocate for and implement best practices in data quality and governance.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of user behavior, auction data, and market trends to identify patterns and opportunities for improvement.
- Design and execute A/B tests to validate the effectiveness of machine learning models and optimize platform features.
- Develop clear and concise data visualizations and reports to communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Partner with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to define data-driven strategies and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Clearly communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences, ensuring everyone understands the value of machine learning solutions.
- Mentor and guide junior data scientists within the team, fostering a collaborative and learning environment.
- PhD or Masters in Computer Science, Statistics, Machine Learning or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a data science role, with a strong focus on machine learning.
- Proven experience in designing, developing, and deploying machine learning models in production environments.
- Expertise in working with big data frameworks (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) and data manipulation libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy).
- Strong proficiency in programming languages like Python and R.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
- A passion for B2B e-commerce and a strong interest in leveraging machine learning to solve real-world business problems.
