As our Engineering Support Technician, you will be responsible for supporting Engineering and Manufacturing with process improvement, sustainability, new product introduction and research and development.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• 2 years engineering in a manufacturing environment, cable and/or assembly preferred
• Self-motivated, fact-based and comfortable with empowerment and accountability
• Basic knowledge of cable and cable assembly design & Regulatory Compliance preferred
• Basic Computer Literacy, additionally aptitude in Solid works 2D is preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills including conflict resolution
• Effective oral and written communication skills

What will you be Accountable for?

• Creating accurate BOM & MOM (Method of Manufacturing) documents
• Creating and Updating Engineering Drawings and Specifications
• Review, update and release new revisions to Engineering Documents
• Support other aspects of the engineering team as required

How will you Collaborate?

• Internal - Finance, Operations, Engineering, Quality, Sales, Purchasing
• External - Outside sales teams and customers to provide the best customer experience, and possibly vendors
• Across the rest of the Winchester organization as appropriate to support multi-location projects and to share best practices.
• Utilize Chat, Redzone, face to face, email and other communications to at a regular cadence
• An engineering support role will require a mix of technical skills, problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, organizational skills, and strong communication abilities. 

What are you Empowered to do?

• Provide administrative support to the Engineering Team and Projects. 
• Documentation and Data Management: Preparing, organizing, and maintaining engineering documentation, technical reports, CAD drawings, specifications, and other related documents.
• Project Coordination: Assisting in project planning, scheduling, and coordination with other teams or stakeholders to ensure smooth progress.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensuring engineering activities comply with relevant safety and regulatory requirements, and helping with safety audits or inspections.
• Collaboration and Communication: Acting as a liaison between engineering teams and other departments, facilitating communication and collaboration.
