Automotive Service Technician

Our Certified Technicians are paid based on an industry-leading technician wage grid that provides pay range from $28.00 to $32.

00 per flat rate hour plus incentive and longevity bonus based on a combination of experience and manufacturer certifications.

You're an experienced service technician or mechanic with 2 or more years of vehicle repair and maintenance experience and the drive to continue learning and developing your skills.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

To be a good fit for the Automotive Service Technician role, you will have :

• 2 or more years experience as an automotive technician
• Successful completion of all manufacturers required Repair and Maintenance training and coursework. Plus any additional Company required training or performs work only as a dedicated noncertified used vehicle technician.
• General mechanical skills, manual dexterity and ability to operate power and hand tools, and other types of machinery
• Knowledge of the automotive repair life cycle
• Attention to detail with organization and follow-up skills
• Your own set of tools
• Valid in-state driver’s license, and acceptable, safe driving record
• Ability to operate a manual transmission is a plus

THE JOB

As an Automotive Service Technician, you’ll perform vehicle repairs as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards.

Your attention to detail will make you a valuable asset to the team as you ensure repairs are completed on time and deliver top-notch work to delight our customers.

In this role, you’ll interact daily with other team members including service advisors, other technicians, parts associates, cashiers, sales associates, and managers.

Daily responsibilities may include :

• Performing vehicle repair and / or maintenance work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards to drive Customer loyalty
• Communicating with Parts Department and service advisors regularly to effectively manage production and Customer communication
• Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and performing repair, if authorized by the Customer
• Conducting multi-point inspections to make appropriate recommendations to ensure the safety and reliability of Customer vehicles
• Documenting work performed on each vehicle on the repair order
• Maintaining an inventory of normal technician’s tools not normally inventoried by the Service department as special tools
• Providing an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty
