Monarch Primary Care is Hiring a Medical Assistant Near San Luis Obispo, CA

Are you a motivated and organized individual with a passion for providing exceptional patient care? I am seeking a proficient Medical Assistant to join me at my medical practice. As a crucial member of my medical practice, you'll have the opportunity to make a significant impact by delivering top-notch service to my valued patients.

**Responsibilities:**

- Provide quality patient care and support in both clinical and administrative tasks.

- Assist in maintaining a small patient population with fewer than 10 patients seen per day.

- Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) comfortably and efficiently.

- Perform various clerical and office tasks with precision and attention to detail.

- Multitask effectively to ensure smooth operations within the practice.

- Demonstrate reliability, responsibility, and a proactive attitude.

- Act as a medical scribe when necessary.

- Handle telephone inquiries promptly and courteously.

- Schedule patient appointments with efficiency and accuracy.

- Manage referrals, including confirming receipt with specialist offices.

- Conduct in-house lab tests and maintain equipment.

- Assist in filing and organizing medical records.

- Prepare examination rooms, take vital signs, and assist with in-office procedures.

- Monitor inventory levels of supplies and medications, and place orders as needed.

- Work on prior authorizations for medications and imaging studies.

- Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of instruments and equipment.

**Requirements:**

- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred.

- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.

- Proficiency in computer skills and familiarity with EMR systems.

- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively.

- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and good judgment.

- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

- Commitment to providing outstanding patient care.

**Schedule & Compensation:**

- 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

- In-person work setting.

- Competitive wage of $26 per hour.
