Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Instructor to join our team. As a Clinical Instructor, you will be responsible for providing instruction and guidance to nursing students in a clinical setting. Duties:
- Provide clinical instruction and supervision to nursing students in various healthcare settings, including hospitals and clinics
- Develop and implement learning activities that align with the curriculum and course objectives
- Utilize learning technology, such as Blackboard, to facilitate student engagement and enhance the learning experience
- Collaborate with faculty members to develop and revise curriculum materials
- Assess student performance through evaluation of clinical skills, documentation review, and written examinations
- Provide feedback and guidance to students to promote their professional growth and development
- Stay updated with current trends and advancements in nursing practice, research, and education
- Foster a positive learning environment that promotes critical thinking, collaboration, and ethical decision-making
- Participate in faculty meetings, committees, and professional development activities
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Nursing or related field (Doctorate preferred)
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in the relevant specialty area (e.g., ICU, Pediatrics)
- Previous experience in teaching or precepting nursing students preferred
- Strong knowledge of adult education principles and curriculum development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in learning technology platforms, such as Blackboard or similar systems
- Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
