Responsibilities
- Payroll
- Process payroll for both hourly and temporary employees.
- Make Journal Entries for Payroll.
- Work with Auditors on all Payroll Related Questions/Queries.
- Prepare Audit Documents for Payroll.
- Work with HR and Employees on any Payroll Issues.
- Assist in regulation of SOX Compliance Guidelines
- Daily monitor Order Entry/Purchase Orders for SOX Compliance.
- Work with the Sales Team to resolve any compliance issues.
- A/R Backup
- Prepare and apply cash for receivables.
- Research old credit issues.
- Work with Sales Team and Traffic Teams to streamline the flow of orders.
- A/P Backup
- Voucher Payables.
- Audit Credit Card Program, Receipts, etc..
- General Accounting Duties
- Assist with Month-End Journal Entries.
- Assist with Month-End Reconciliations.
- Assist with Departmental Process Reviews.
- Backup for filing monthly, quarterly, and yearly taxes.
- Will be required to perform other assignments, tasks, or duties as requested.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred and 3 -5 years of experience or 5 – 10 years of relevant experience with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficient in personal computers with advanced Excel skills (data mining techniques, pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.).
- Must be experienced in processing payroll, experience with ADP preferred.
- Must be experienced in ERP systems, Epicor preferred.
- Must be able to organize and analyze large volumes of data quickly.
- Must have strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to work effectively with others.
- Must have ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
