Job Title Tile Setter

Reports To Max Hobbs, Installation Manager

Job Description

Installation of wall and floor tiles in newly constructed residential homes and townhomes. Participate on a small crew of installation professionals and associates to install quality flooring in a safe and efficient manner.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Duties include material handling, floor preparation, installation of materials and site clean-up.
  • Adhere to strict quality standards of floor preparation and installation of materials. Understand and adhere to training and training guides.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work safely and efficiently with a team of associates. Follow OSHA standards for construction site safety.
  • Perform assigned duties and responsibilities.
  • Follow established company policies and procedures. Ensure team members are following established company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to navigate Carpet Diem’s software programs and follow detailed instructions including Quickbase and work order maps.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve objectives.
  • Attend training and other meetings as required.

Skills and Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience installing floor and wall tile.
  • General knowledge of tile installation for wet and dry areas.
  • Experience with multiple shower systems and waterproofing.
  • Ability to keep team working within the builders allotted time schedule.
  • The safe and capable use of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to work safely and efficiently in a construction environment.
  • Good driving record. Safely operate a motor vehicle. Insurable by Carpet Diem auto insurance.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Responsible and dependable.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Legal to work in the United States.

Salary and Benefits

  • Starting Wage: $25.00 / hr.
  • Medical and Dental benefits are available per the Carpet Diem Team Member Handbook.
  • Holiday pay and Paid Time Off (PTO) available per the Carpet Diem Team Member Handbook.
  • Matching 401k plan available.
  • Health Savings Account available.
  • Tools, and setting materials are all provided by the company.

Hours

  • Monday - Friday 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
